If you are ever in a position where you find out that one or both of your parents have started attending the same live music events that you have, then that can often be a pretty traumatic thing to happen in your life! My dad and his new girlfriend, a perfectly nice lady that he met on an Hispanic senior dating website (to be honest, I didn't even know he could use a computer!) recently revealed that they have been to Back 2 Basix.
I am quite sure that I have mentioned a lot of times to my dad that this is one of my favourite live music venues in Joburg.
We have one of those relationships where we are always teasing one another and so on, so I am quite sure that he is doing this to me on purpose! And he knows I wouldn't get him back by attending a Simon And Garfunkel concert or something!
